Reading Ladder (S1)
Easiest to hardest
1. I chose this order because the Giver was a really short book and a very simple read. I really enjoyed the Maze runner books and they were longer and more complex books with a lot more plot to comprehend. However how they were worded was not very confusing. The divergent series are all about the same level except for the fact that Allegiant has multiple perspectives from the 2 main characters this at times can get confusing when you put the book down and start reading the next day. The Perks of Being a Wallflower was written in the form of letters so it was a little harder to read which is why it is lower on the list. Fallen Angels is at 8 because it is very well written and also uses a lot of very descriptive language that makes it a more difficult read. Also Jurassic Park is a step up in difficulty because of all the scientific language that you use in the book.
2. I feel like I read a good amount because before this class I haven't read a lot at all. I only read when I find a series or book that I really like and once I do I am hooked and can't put it down. I really found my love of reading again this year because there were so many books I liked that it helped me read a lot more than I usually do. I don't like reading really boring books The books I read have lots of twists an action in the plot line so I am always interested in it.
3. Next semester I want to read more challenging books and oe some dan brown books I have heard they are really good but have never tried them. I want to also expand my genre and read more war stories like the ones Walter Dean Myers wrote because they were really good. I feel like a read at a very good pace and even went well beyond my reading goals that set.
