Final Video
Reflection
1. What is the most valuable thing you learned from this project?: I think it was learning how to use Photoshop and final cut pro because those are 2 really great programs for all kinds of projects that I could use in future years. I am more pleased I learned how to use Photoshop because there were many times in past projects where I could have improved on and made better work.
2. What did you do that helped you be successful in this project?: What really helped me was using my resources for help when something went wrong. Because there were lots of times where Photoshop would just stop working or not do what you wanted. In these difficult times I would turn to Google, teacher, or my peers for help. Looking up how to do something was a great option because often times there were detailed tutorials on how to do exactly what you wanted.
3. What advice would you give to students who will do this project in the future?: First of all for those who don't know how to use Photoshop and Final Cut X listen to lectures about the programs they tell you just about everything you need to know. If you are in my case and still are challenged on how to do something search it up Google is your best friend. Also ask your peers they most of the time can help you. Also research a topic you are interested in or you will be board for many weeks researching something you don't like. This will also help make your video easer to create. Lastly when you write your script it is better to write more than 99 seconds because then you can just cut stuff out as apposed to writing more.
4. What did the teachers do well for this project?: Offering help because I have never used these programs ever before so there were many points where I had no idea what to do. Also we had a fair amount of time to get our stuff done so if you didn't mess around you would get everything done no problem.
5. What could teachers do to make this project better?: The only thing is to maybe show everyone as a class how to add sound effects or explosions or fire many people might not use it but it still would be cool.

Process
1. Choosing an issue: We had to chose a topic we were interested in that we could eventually research with a partner.
2. Research: We then had to begin our research we had to gather facts that would prove our argument. We also had to find out about what the other side of our argument said so we could prove them wrong.

3. Business letter: In Ross's class we had to use the information we gathered to make a business letter to try to get the thing we researched about changed. For my letter I wrote to the mayor of San Diego.
|
4. Response: My letter was forwarded to my local representative unfortunately they said no. Here is a screenshot of the email that was sent to me.
5. Script: In Chris's class we took a different route and used our research to create videos these videos had to be 99 seconds or less. This is the script we made for the video.

8.Editing video: To edit our final video we used Final Cut X we added in our audio and had to time it with our images perfectly.
9. Posting video: After we finished editing and got our video approved
